Karbor Story

Origin

Karbor’s story began with a simple journey.
After graduating, LI, the founder of Karbor, didn’t rush into the workplace. Instead, he packed his backpack and set off on a spontaneous trip.
He traveled through different cities and gradually ventured farther from home.
This was not a planned entrepreneurial beginning, but a real-life experience.

Problem

During the journey, problems began to appear.
When LI left city centers for suburban or remote areas, or traveled to other countries, internet connections became unreliable.
Weak signals, expensive roaming fees, and complicated or insecure public Wi-Fi made staying connected difficult.
Many times, he could only watch pages endlessly loading, missing the moment to share his joy.

Those repeated moments of being offline became impossible to ignore.
While waiting for pages to load, LI began asking himself a question:
Why has travel become so free, yet connectivity remains so complicated?
He realized that existing solutions were not truly designed for travelers.

Decision

As the journey came to an end, one idea became clear.
What if there were a simple, stable, and secure way to get online —
one that worked in cities, remote areas, and foreign countries alike?
Would travel feel truly free again?
LI decided to solve this problem himself.

Creation

After returning home, LI teamed up with friends who shared his passion for travel and had backgrounds in communications and hardware development.
They didn’t start with market trends or business buzzwords, but with real travel problems.
Through endless discussions, testing, failures, and revisions,
real journeys became the foundation of product design.
